This website lists details of our group meetings and other activities during the year from September 2023 to July 2024. To participate in any of the group activities you must be a member of Woking Area u3a and have a membership card for the 2023-24 year.

What is the u3a?
If you are no longer in full-time work but want to take up new interests, learn and
make new friends, why not join Woking Area u3a? Our groups and activities are led and taught by our members, for our members. We are self-funded and self-managed, one of more than 1,000 in the UK.

Our u3a does not provide services for its members – members provide them for
each other. Nothing can be achieved without enthusiastic members willing to give their time, energy and commitment. There are many ways to contribute. It may be sharing of skills and knowledge by leading or supporting new or existing groups; planning trips, outings and social events; volunteering for the committee; organising speakers for the monthly meetings; preparing refreshments or putting out chairs – the list is endless. We welcome new members from all walks of life to join our community to learn, laugh, live with us.

Joining the u3a
Membership of the u3a is open to anyone who has ceased full time employment.
