The National Survey 2017

The *National Research sub-Committee*, with the regional research project advisers, has been looking at ways of encouraging research as an activity for new, or existing, groups within individual U3As.   We have come up with the idea of a national survey, on a topic of current interest, which will  provide a basis on which a number of other research projects can be run. Click National Survey for further details.

Conference and AGM 2017 open for booking.

Fleet U3A Sailing group meets every Thursday morning between May and October at Hawley Lake Sail Training Centre in Blackwater near Farnborough. We sail in Bosuns which we hire from the Centre. All our activities enjoy a programme of courses tailored to suit U3A members with mixed abilities. We have a mix of beginners, people who had done a little bit of sailing in the past but nothing recent, people who had qualified at RYA Level 2 with Fleet U3A, and more experienced members, including a fully qualified RYA Senior Instructor and an Instructor.

Fleet U3A Sailing Group is open to members of any U3A branch and we currently have members from Wokingham, Bracknell Forest, Woking, Maidenhead and Hartley Wintney as well as Fleet.

The cost of membership depends on how many members commit to pay the fee on the day - the more members, the cheaper it will be. At the moment we expect the cost to be about £64 for the whole year. This works out at about £2.40 per sailing session per person.

If you have any questions, please contact the Sailing group leader Tim Lyons at fleet.u3a.sailing@gmail.com
