Group Activities:  Woking Croquet Club is offering U3A members the opportunity to try the game.  The offer is for a 3-hour taster session, under the auspices of qualified coaches, on international standard lawns, in the Woking Club’s attractive surroundings.  A guest fee of £10 will be charged.  All the necessary equipment will be provided.  Croquet is a friendly sport, combining gentle physical and mental exercise in the fresh air.  Movement and Exercise to Music

Group Activities:  Sessions will start with a warm up followed by a light aerobic session which will accommodate different fitness levels. We then go into a stretching, deportment, posture and balance routine and end in floor exercises and relaxation. All exercises are performed to music. These exercises are structured to work all muscle groups but participants are encouraged to be selective as to which exercises they do if they have certain muscle or physical problems. There are always alternatives.

Group Activities:  Friendly informal group. Books (mainly but not exclusively novels) are selected for the whole term and, each month, one is presented by a member of the group with an assistant. We keep a list of those suggestions made by members of the group and from these we choose our books for the term and carry forward others for later selection.  At the monthly Zoom sessions, after a brief presentation, there is general discussion. We then split into Breakout groups (normally around 6 people in each) to discuss questions provided by the presenter There is a final plenary session with reports from each breakout group. The groups’ volunteer scribes send these reports to the convenor after the session. These are collated and emailed to members.
